Pressure Decay Leak Detection (PDLD)
Put the product into an airtight chamber,
inflate positive or negative pressure with
fixed pressure and amount of air, then keep this pressure until a
balance status arrived, the area inside the testing chamber and outside the
package should be minimized to allow the highest testing sensitivity, a closed
and airtight space around the package to be tested, when a leak is in place,
air moves respectively in or out of the package, measuring the deferential of
the pressure inside the test chamber as a result of gas leakage or liquid
vaporization from a leak.
